First impression of the Azores:

With some British Isles …

Pacific Northwest, Alaska and southern California thrown in. Our balcony view at Hotel do Caracol on the Azorean island of Terceira. I kid you not. And not a bad price, either, in the off-season.

Not that we could go swimming at this time of year. (Hotel’s outdoor pool isn’t heated in winter.) But with a view like this, I didn’t care.
